Duluth International Airport Joint Zoning Board

Administers special zoning regulations within the hazard area surrounding the Duluth International Airport. 4 representatives from the City of Duluth, 2 representatives from the City of Hermantown, 2 representatives from the Township of Canosia, 2 representatives from the Township of Rice Lake, and 2 representatives from St. Louis County. No residency requirements. The Joint Airport Zoning Board - Board of Adjustment has 1 City of Duluth Representative with an indefinite term.

Regular meetings of the Board shall be held on the first Thursday of each month at 3:30 p.m. in the Amatuzio Conference Room, Third Floor, in the Duluth International Airport, 4701 Grinden Drive, Duluth, Minnesota. In the event the first Thursday falls on a legal holiday, the second Thursday shall be the regular meeting day. Special meetings may be called by the Chair of the Board and shall be called upon the request of at least three members of the Board. Notice of all special meetings shall be mailed at least three working days in advance to every member of the Board and shall be delivered to the Assistant City Attorney appointed to serve as advisor to the Board.
