Duluth
has some of the best cross-country skiing you'll find anywhere in the
nation. Five City trails and the Spirit Mountain Cross-Country Center
provide 65k for every level of skier. These trails pass through beautiful
forests with breathtaking views of Lake Superior and the St. Louis River
Valley. Trails are groomed with the best equipment available. All of
this fantastic skiing is just minutes away from the lodging, restaurants,

Chester
Bowl
Cross-country skiing at Chester Bowl offers 3k for the
advanced skier and racer. The trail starts at the access and loops counter-clockwise.
The Great Minnesota Ski Pass is required to use this trail. To view

Hartley
Trail
The Hartley Trail has a total of 5k to explore. It consists
of two main loops. The north-south route of the outer trail provides
a hilly challenge to more experienced skiers while the inner loop in
gentle and meandering, a pleasant trek for all skill levels. Hartley
Trail needs a good 12 inches of snow pack for safe, fun skiing so we
recommend that you plan to ski there in mid season when the snow cover
is best. The Great Minnesota Ski Pass is required to use the trail.

Lester-Amity
Trail
The Lester-Amity trail offers 15k of varied terrain through
pine, aspen, and birch forests. An additional 3k circles the Lester
Park Golf Course and is accessible from the main Lester-Amity Trail.
To ski on gentle terrain, turn to the left at points B and C. Beyond
point C, the intermediate and advanced skier will be challenged by the
hills. The openness of the golf course offers an excellent place for
beginning cross-country skiers. Intermediate skiers will also enjoy
good visual contact and numerous short-cut options. The Great Minnesota

Magney-Snively
Trail
The Magney-Snively trail has 14k of trail for intermediate
and advanced skiers. This trail offers skiing through a beautiful hardwood
forest with large hills and trees. This terrain is rugged and therefore
is not recommended for beginners. The trail loops clockwise. The Great

Piedmont
Trail
The Piedmont trail has 5k of trail for beginning and
intermediate skiers. This double-tracked trail leads you through both
aspen, birch, and hardwood forest. Handmade signs made by a skier in
the Piedmont neighborhood and a beautiful overlook of the St. Louis
River Valley are the unique features of this trail. The Great Minnesota

has 45 miles of groomed snowmobile trains which connect to the Willard
