RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT TO MILLER HILL JEEP-EAGLE FOR LEASE OF FOUR VEHICLES, IN THE AMOUNT OF $34,665.49.
BY COUNCILOR STEWART:

RESOLVED, that Miller Hill Jeep and Eagle be and hereby is awarded a contract for furnishing and delivering four vehicles for the Duluth police department in accordance with specifications on its low specification bid of $34,665.49, terms net 30, FOB delivered, payable out of police grant program Fund 215, Dept./Agency 200, Organization 2455, Object 5415.



STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution will authorize the lease of four vehicles from Miller Hill Jeep and Eagle for $34,665.49 to be paid from Fund 215, Agency 200, Object 5415. Miller Hill Jeep and Eagle was the lowest of the three above companies who responded. These vehicles are being leased for use by officers assigned to the Minnesota Gang Strike Force Northeast Office from January 1, 2000 through June 30, 2001. Four hundred fifty dollars per vehicle per month has been funded by the State of Minnesota for these leases.
