RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT TO LAKE SUPERIOR OFFICE FURNITURE, INC., FOR OFFICE FURNITURE FOR THE CONSOLIDATED PUBLIC WORKS AND UTILITIES DEPARTMENT ENGINEERING OFFICE, IN THE AMOUNT OF $55,647.11.
BY COUNCILOR ECKENBERG:

RESOLVED, that Lake Superior Office Furniture, Inc., be and hereby is awarded a contract for furnishing and delivering office furniture for the public works and utilities department engineering office in accordance with specifications on its low specification bid of $55,647.11, terms net 30, FOB destination, payable out of various funds, dept./agency various, Organization 0505, Object 5180.



STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution will authorize the purchase of office furniture components from Lake Superior Office Furniture, Inc. for $55,647.11 to be paid from water, gas sewer and storm water enterprise funds. Herman Miller components are presently in use and additional components are required to complete the engineering consolidation of the water and gas and public works engineering. Award made under the cooperative purchasing venture with the State of Minnesota contract #419473, release F-464 valid thru May 14, 2000. The uncommitted amount in object 5580 exceeds $55,647.11.
