BY COUNCILOR EDWARDS:RESOLUTION ISSUING A TEMPORARY ON SALE INTOXICATING LIQUOR LICENSE TO AAD TEMPLE, 201 EAST FIRST STREET.
BE IT RESOLVED, that the city council of the city of Duluth hereby issues the following temporary on sale intoxicating liquor license subject to departmental approvals with any specific restrictions:
AAD Temple, 201 East First Street, for March 4, 2000, with James LeBlanc, manager.
Gerry Geisert was present on behalf of the application. Mr. Geisert reviewed that last fall they held three concerts at their building that was open to the public, and that they are using the same production company to hold another dance on March 4th. To questioning from the board, Mr. Geisert replied that they have had no problems with their other events, and that they will be hiring two off duty police officers to work the event. Officer Christensen stated that the police department has no problems with this application. Mr. Geisert stated that they will only be selling strong beer and that the hours will be from 7:00 pm to midnight. There being no further discussion, Mr. Willman moved that the APPLICATION OF AAD TEMPLE, 201 EAST 1ST ST, FOR A TEMPORARY ON SALE INTOXICATING LIQUOR LICENSE FOR MARCH 4, 2000, WITH JAMES LEBLANC, MANAGER, BE APPROVED, AND THE SAME BE RECOMMENDED TO THE CITY COUNCIL FOR APPROVAL. Mr. Carlson seconded the motion, and it was unanimously approved.
