RESOLUTION APPROVING THE
TRANSFER OF THE OFF SALE INTOXICATING LIQUOR LICENSE OF GARY VEGAS, INC.
(BUFFALO OUTPOST), 1431 COMMONWEALTH, TRANSFERRED TO J&J JAUSS, INC.
(GARY LIQUORS), SAME ADDRESS.
BE IT RESOLVED, that the
city council of the city of Duluth hereby approves the transfer of the
following off sale intoxicating liquor license, for the period ending August
31, 2000, subject to departmental approvals, and the payment of sales and
property taxes and further subject to approval of the liquor control commissioner:
J&J Jauss, Inc.
(Gary Liquors), 1431 Commonwealth Avenue, with Jeffrey Jauss, 50 percent
stockholder, and Joan Jauss, 50 percent stockholder, transferred from Gary
Vegas, Inc. (Buffalo Outpost), same address.
BEVERAGE BOARD DISCUSSION OF 3/8/00: Jeff Jauss was present
on behalf of the application. Mr. Jauss stated that he is in the process
of buying this liquor store and plans no major changes in the operation
of the store. To the board's questioning, Mr. Jauss replied that he has
been the assistant manager at Lake Aire Bottle Shop for over 11 years,
and that he is very familiar with the rules and regulations of selling
alcohol. Officer Christensen stated that there are no problems with this
application. There being no further discussion, Mr. Nyquist moved THAT
THE APPLICATION OF J & J JAUSS, INC, (GARY LIQUORS), 1431 COMMONWEALTH
AVENUE, FOR TRANSFER OF THE OFF SALE INTOXICATING LIQUOR LICENSE WITH JEFFREY
JAUSS, 50 PERCENT STOCKHOLDER, AND JOAN JAUSS, 50 PERCENT STOCKHOLDER,
TRANSFERRED FROM GARY VEGAS, INC, (BUFFALO OUTPOST), SAME ADDRESS, BE APPROVED,
AND THE SAME BE RECOMMENDED TO THE CITY COUNCIL FOR APPROVAL. Mr. Carlson
seconded the motion, and it was unanimously approved.
