RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF THE EASTERLY 20 FEET OF LOT 9, BLOCK 27, PLAT OF RE-ARRANGEMENT OF PART OF EAST DULUTH AND OF FIRST ADDITION TO EAST DULUTH FROM F.I. SALTER CO., INC., FOR A CONSIDERATION OF $4,800.

BY COUNCILOR STOVER:

RESOLVED, that the proper city officers are authorized to purchase the tract of land described below to be used for storm sewer purposes from F.I. Salter Co., Inc., for a purchase price of $4,800 to be paid from Fund 535, Agency 500, Object 0570:

The easterly 20 feet of Lot 9, Block 27, Plat of Re-Arrangement of Part of East Duluth and of First Addition to East Duluth.

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The city needs a 20'x150' strip of land on Greysolon Road at 35th Avenue East for a storm sewer conduit realignment. F.I. Salter Co. owns the parcel, which is a separate 20'x150' parcel situated between two developed parcels. The city assessor's office estimated that this property is worth $1.60 per square foot or $4,800 for the entire parcel. F.I. Salter has agreed to sell it for that price.
