Gambling, and Tobacco Commission Discussion of 5/24/00:
Mark Glad was present on behalf of the application. He explained
that this application is in conjunction with Grandma's Marathon, and during
the past few years they have set up a bar outside in their parking lot
during the day. Mr. Glad continued saying that they hire off duty
police officers to work the event and that they erect snow fencing to keep
the area contained. The board reviewed that outside expansions are
allowed only until 11:00 pm. To the board's inquiry, the clerk replied
that Officer Christensen had stated that he has approved this application
as there have been no problems in the past. There being no further
discussion, Mr. McKinnon moved that THE APPLICATION OF LEMON'S REEF, INC.
(REEF BAR), 2002 LONDON ROAD, FOR TEMPORARY EXPANSION OF THE LICENSED PREMISES
OF THEIR ON SALE INTOXICATING LIQUOR LICENSE FOR JUNE 17, 2000, BE APPROVED,
AND THE SAME BE RECOMMENDED TO THE CITY COUNCIL FOR APPROVAL. Mr.
Willman seconded the motion, and it was unanimously approved.
