RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PROPER CITY OFFICIALS TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH LHB ENGINEERS AND ARCHITECTS, INC., TO PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR FOURTH STREET FROM WALLACE AVENUE TO TISCHER CREEK BRIDGE, ESTIMATED AT $109,682.

BY COUNCILOR STOVER:

WHEREAS, the city of Duluth desires to provide improvement in Fourth Street from Wallace Avenue to the Tischer Creek Bridge; and

WHEREAS, the city desires to hire a consulting engineer to provide the engineering services required for design and construction phases; and

WHEREAS, LHB Engineers and Architects, Inc., has submitted a proposal for engineering services in connection with this project.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with LHB Engineers and Architects, Inc., to provide the city with such engineering services.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the cost of said engineering services, estimated at $109,682, will be payable from the Permanent Improvement Fund 411, Dept./Agency 035, Organization 2142, Object 5303; to be reimbursed from the Minnesota state aid fund.


STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution will authorize the purchase of professional engineering services from LHB Engineers and Architects, Inc., to be paid from Fund 411, Agency 035, Object 5303. LHB Engineers and Architects will provide professional engineering services for both the design and construction phases of this project, Fourth Street reconstruction from Wallace Avenue to Tischer Creek Bridge. This includes the storm sewer from Wallace Avenue to the Tischer Creek Bridge. The budget amount for this project is $110.000. The funding to be reimbursed from the Minnesota state aid fund.
