RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PROPER CITY OFFICIALS TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH ST. LOUIS COUNTY TO PROVIDE MFIP CASE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM SERVICES, AT COSTS NOT TO EXCEED $3,500 PER PARTICIPANT, FOOD STAMP EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING SERVICES AT COSTS NOT TO EXCEED $400 PER PARTICIPANT, AND FOOD STAMP EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING START WORK SERVICES FOR COSTS NOT TO EXCEED $23,809.52, FROM JULY 1, 2000, THROUGH JUNE 30, 2001.

BY COUNCILOR FENA:

RESOLVED, that proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement, a copy of which shall be on file with the city clerk's office as Public Document No. ______________________ with St. Louis County to provide services under the Minnesota family investment program (MFIP) at costs not too exceed $3,500 per participant, food stamp employment and training (FSET) services at costs not to exceed $400 per participant, and food stamp employment and training (FSET) start work services for costs not to exceed $23,809.52. Contract dates shall run from July 1, 2000, through June 30, 2001.

FURTHER RESOLVED, that monies received under this agreement shall be deposited in Fund 269, Budget Items 6272 and 6273.


STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  The purpose of this resolution is to allow proper city officials to enter into an agreement with St. Louis County to provide services to participants enrolled under the Minnesota family investment program (MFIP).  Costs are not to exceed $3,500 per participant.  Food stamp employment and training (FSET) services will also be provided under this contract at costs not exceed $400 per participant.  Additionally, food stamp employment and training (FSET) program start work services will be provided for costs not to exceed $23,809.52.  Contract runs from July 1, 2000, through June 30, 2001.

Monies received under this agreement shall be deposited in Fund 269, Budget Items 6272 and 6273.
