RESOLUTION APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF THE ON SALE INTOXICATING LIQUOR LICENSE AND ON SALE SUNDAY LICENSE FROM GRANDMA'S RESTAURANT COMPANY (GRANDMA'S STEAK AND SEAFOOD), 375 MINNESOTA AVENUE, TO GRANDMA'S RESTAURANT COMPANY (GRANDMA'S STEAK AND SEAFOOD), 4602 GRAND AVENUE.

BY COUNCILOR EDWARDS:

BE IT RESOLVED, that the city council of the city of Duluth hereby approves the transfer of the following on sale intoxicating liquor license and on sale Sunday license for the period beginning September 1, 2000, and ending August 31, 2001, subject to departmental approvals, and the payment of sales and property taxes:

Grandma's Restaurant Company (Grandma's Steak & Seafood), 4602 Grand Avenue, with Michael J. Paulucci, chairman and 90 percent stockholder, and Andy Borg, CEO and ten percent stockholder, transferred from Grandma's Restaurant Company (Grandma's Steak & Seafood), 375 Minnesota Avenue.


Alcohol, gambling and tobacco commission discussion of 8/8/00:  Brian Dougherty was present on behalf of the application. Mr. Dougherty explained that they are opening a smaller version of Grandma's Restaurant in the new Denfeld shopping center and hope to be open later this fall. He continued to say that their operation and menu will be the same as their other restaurants. There being no further discussion, Mr. Nyquist moved that THE APPLICATION OF GRANDMA'S RESTAURANT COMPANY, (GRANDMA'S STEAK & SEAFOOD), 4602 GRAND AVENUE, FOR TRANSFER OF THE ON SALE INTOXICATING LIQUOR LICENSE AND ON SALE SUNDAY LICENSE FOR THE PERIOD BEGINNING SEPTEMBER 1, 2000, AND ENDING AUGUST 31, 2001, WITH MICHAEL J. PAULUCCI, CHAIRMAN AND 90% STOCKHOLDER, AND ANDY BORG, CEO AND 10% STOCKHOLDER, TRANSFERRED FROM GRANDMA'S RESTAURANT COMPANY, (GRANDMA'S STEAK & SEAFOOD), 375 MINNESOTA AVENUE, BE APPROVED, AND THE SAME BE RECOMMENDED TO THE CITY COUNCIL FOR APPROVAL. Mr. Willman seconded the motion, and it was unanimously approved.
