RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT TO D.C. ENTERPRISES, INC, FOR DEMOLITION OF FIVE STRUCTURES, IN THE AMOUNT OF $36,200.

BY COUNCILOR STENBERG:

RESOLVED, that D.C. Enterprises, Inc., be and hereby is awarded a contract for demolition of five structures for the building inspection division in accordance with specifications on its low specification bid of $36,200, terms net 30, FOB job sites, payable out of General Fund 100, Dept./Agency 020, Organization 1201, Object 5453.


STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  This resolution will authorize the demolition and removal of waste of five condemned structures throughout the city of Duluth by D.C. Enterprises, Inc., for $36,200 to be paid from General Fund 100.  The following five locations are 118-1/2 Park Avenue; 119 Park Avenue; 211 South 16th Avenue East; 5812 Elinor Street; 114 East Seventh Street.  The city has made it a priority to eliminate unoccupied and dilapidated buildings as soon as condemnation or forfeiture actions are complete.  D.C. Enterprises was the lowest of the six companies who responded.  The uncommitted funds in Object 5453 is $37,700.  Bid No. 00-0574
