STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  The Hartley Nature Center Corporation has secured $1.5 million in state bonding funds to be used toward the future construction of the Hartley Nature Center building within Hartley Park.  Minnesota Power has offered a partial funding match in the form of the purchase and first year's maintenance for the distributive energy systems.  These systems consist of a microturbine, photovoltaic system and fuel cell.  The memorandum of understanding formalizes Minnesota Power's commitment to the Hartley Nature Center building project and defines the roles of the three parties involved.
