RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT TO LAKEHEAD ELECTRIC COMPANY FOR TRAFFIC SIGNAL SYSTEM FOR RICE LAKE ROAD AT UNITED HEALTH CARE, IN THE AMOUNT OF $128,692.

BY COUNCILOR STOVER:

RESOLVED, that Lakehead Electric Company, Inc., be and hereby is awarded a contract for installing traffic signal system for Rice Lake Road at United Health Care for the engineering division in accordance with specifications on its low specification bid of $128,692, terms net 30, FOB job site, payable out of Permanent Improvement Fund 411, Dept./Agency 035, Organization 2228, Object 5530.


STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  This resolution will authorize the installation of a traffic control signal system for Rice Lake Road at United HealthCare by Lakehead Electric Company, Inc., for $128,692 to be paid from Permanent Improvement Fund 411.  This traffic control signal system is justified by volume of traffic expected from the new United HealthCare facility.  Lakehead Electric Company, Inc., was the lowest of the two companies who responded.  The funding is as follows:  2/3 city P.I. budgeted at $100,000 and 1/3 St. Louis County at $50,000.  Bid No. 00-0746
