RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT TO AMENDOLA CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR ELEVATOR UPGRADE FOR THE ADA IMPROVEMENTS AT THE MAIN LIBRARY, IN THE AMOUNT OF $49,750.

BY PRESIDENT EDWARDS:

        RESOLVED, that Amendola Construction Company be and hereby is awarded a contract for elevator upgrade for the ADA improvements at the main library for the city architect in accordance with specifications on its low specification bid of $49,750, terms net 30, FOB job site, $12,397 payable out of Capital Improvements Fund 450, Dept./Agency 015, Organization 1999, Object C917 and $37,353 payable out of Brownlee Estate Library Trust Fund 743, Dept./Agency 300, Object 5520.


STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  This resolution will authorize the elevator upgrade of the ADA improvements at the main library by Amendola Construction Company for $49,750 to be paid from Capital Improvements Fund 450 and Brownlee Estate Library Trust Fund 743.  This is the final phase of three construction phases in accordance with the library grant received and approved by council last spring.  Amendola Construction Company was the only bidder who responded.  The uncommitted funds in Object C917 is $40,000 and the uncommitted funds in Object 5520 is $180,790.  Bid No. 00-0730B
