RESOLUTION APPROVING THE
TRANSFER OF THE ON SALE INTOXICATING LIQUOR LICENSE, ON SALE SUNDAY LICENSE,
ADDITIONAL BAR LICENSE AND DANCING LICENSE FROM WESTERN DEVELOPMENT, INC.
(WESTERN LOUNGE), 2801 WEST SUPERIOR STREET, TO LINCOLN PARK WESTERN CORPORATION
(WESTERN TAVERN), SAME ADDRESS.
BE IT RESOLVED, that the city council of the city of Duluth approves the
transfer of the following on sale intoxicating liquor license, on sale
Sunday license, additional bar license and dancing license, for the period
ending August 31, 2001, subject to departmental approvals and the payment
of sales and property taxes:
Lincoln Park Western Corporation (Western Tavern), 2801 West Superior Street,
with Greg S. Anderson, president and 100 percent stockholder, transferred
from Western Development, Inc. (Western Lounge), same address.
gambling and tobacco commission discussion of 2/13/2001:
Greg Anderson was present on behalf of the application. Mr. Anderson stated
that he is buying this business and has some experience in bartending and
managing a liquor store. To questioning from the board, Mr. Anderson replied
that he has received a copy of the beverage code and has talked with Officer
Christensen. He continued saying that he has meeting scheduled with the
health department and the fire department to make sure he is compliance
with them. There being no further discussion, Mr. McKinnon moved that THE
APPLICATION OF LINCOLN PARK WESTERN CORPORATION (WESTERN TAVERN), 2801
WEST SUPERIOR STREET, FOR TRANSFER OF THE ON SALE INTOXICATING LIQUOR LICENSE,
ON SALE SUNDAY LICENSE, ADDITIONAL BAR LICENSE, AND DANCING LICENSE FROM
WESTERN DEVELOPMENT, INC. (WESTERN LOUNGE), SAME ADDRESS, WITH GREG S.
ANDERSON, PRESIDENT AND 100% STOCKHOLDER, BE APPROVED, AND THE SAME BE
RECOMMENDED TO THE CITY COUNCIL FOR APPROVAL. Mr. Carlson seconded the
motion, and it was unanimously approved.
