BY PRESIDENT EDWARDS:
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE
ISSUANCE OF A TEMPORARY ON SALE INTOXICATING LIQUOR LICENSE TO MARSHALL
SCHOOL, 1215 RICE LAKE ROAD.
BE IT RESOLVED, that the city council of the city of Duluth hereby approves
issuance of the following temporary on sale intoxicating liquor license
by the liquor control commissioner, subject to departmental approvals and
any specific restrictions:
Marshall School, 1215 Rice Lake Road, for May 4, 2001, with Ann Hagen,
Alcohol, gambling and tobacco
commission discussion of 3/13/01: Jeannie Kermeen was present on behalf
of the application. Ms. Kermeen reviewed that this is their annual auction
fundraiser that is held at Marshall School. She continued saying that it
is a two day event, with a preview on Thursday night from 7-9 pm and on
Friday night from 6-11:30 pm they will be having dinner and drinks during
the auction. To questioning from the board, Ms. Kermeen replied that this
event is for adults only, and there hasn't been a problem with checking
ID's. Officer Christensen stated that there have been no problems in the
past with this event. There being no further discussion, Mr. Willman moved
THAT THE APPLICATION OF MARSHALL SCHOOL, 1215 RICE LAKE ROAD FOR A TEMPORARY
ON SALE INTOXICATING LIQUOR LICENSE FOR MAY 4, 2001, WITH ANN HAGEN, MANAGER,
BE APPROVED, AND THE SAME BE RECOMMENDED TO THE CITY COUNCIL FOR APPROVAL.
Mr. Hendrickson seconded the motion and it was unanimously approved.
