BY PRESIDENT EDWARDS:
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE
ISSUANCE OF ON SALE NONINTOXICATING MALT LIQUOR LICENSE RENEWALS FOR THE
PERIOD BEGINNING MAY 1, 2001, AND ENDING APRIL 30, 2002.
RESOLVED, that the city council of the city of Duluth hereby issues on
sale nonintoxicating malt liquor license renewals for the period beginning
May 1, 2001, and ending April 30, 2002, subject to departmental approvals
and the payment of sales and property taxes, as provided for in the Duluth
City Code, to the applicants listed on Public Document No. ______.
Alcohol, gambling and tobacco
commission discussion of 4/10/2001: The clerk stated that there are two
licensees with delinquent sales taxes, but that there are no other problems
with the rest of the licensees. Officer Christensen stated that he has
approved all the renewal applications. The commission stated that the sales
taxes must be paid by May 1 or the businesses would not be able to sell
beer. There being no further discussion, Mr. Carlson moved that THE RENEWAL
APPLICATIONS OF THE ON SALE NONINTOXICATING MALT LIQUOR LICENSES FOR THE
PERIOD BEGINNING MAY 1, 2001, AND ENDING APRIL 30, 2002, BE APPROVED, AND
THE SAME BE RECOMMENDED TO THE CITY COUNCIL FOR APPROVAL. Mr. Hendrickson
seconded the motion, and it was unanimously approved.
