RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PROPER CITY OFFICIALS TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH TWIN PORTS TESTING, INC., TO PROVIDE NON-DESTRUCTIVE RADIOGRAPHIC TEST OF A 16 INCH STEEL GAS MAIN, ESTIMATED AT $32,377.50.

BY COUNCILOR ECKENBERG:

        WHEREAS, the city of Duluth desires non-destructive radiographic testing services; and

        WHEREAS, the city desires to hire consulting firm to provide the services required for the x-raying of welds on the construction of 16 inch steel high pressure gas main from TBS1A to Ramsey Street and Oneota Street; and

        WHEREAS, Twin Ports Testing, Inc., has submitted a proposal for professional services in connection with this project.

        NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with Twin Ports Testing, Inc., to provide the city with such professional services.

        BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the cost of said services, estimated at $32,377.50, will be payable from the Gas Construction Bond Fund 0521, Dept./Agency 500, Object 5532.



STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution will authorize the non-destructive radiographic testing services by Twin Ports Testing in the estimated amount of $32,377.50 to be paid from Gas Construction Bond Fund 0521. Twin Ports Testing will provide non-destructive radiographic testing services for the x-raying of welds on the construction of 16 inch steel high pressure gas main from TBS1A to Ramsey Street and Oneota Street.
