RESOLUTION APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF STOCK OF THE ON SALE INTOXICATING LIQUOR LICENSE AND SUNDAY LICENSE OF PLAYER'S GRANDSTAND, INC. (PLAYER'S SPORTS BAR), 4024 GRAND AVENUE.

BY COUNCILOR STEWART:

BE IT RESOLVED, that the city council of the city of Duluth hereby approves the transfer of stock of the following on sale intoxicating liquor license and on sale Sunday license for the period ending August 31, 2004, subject to departmental approvals:
Player's Grandstand, Inc. (Player's Sports Bar), 4024 Grand Avenue, transferred from William Rouleau, 50 percent owner and Paul Riesland, 50 percent owner, to Rick McArthur, 50 percent owner and Paul Riesland, 50 percent owner.


ALCOHOL, GAMBLING AND TOBACCO COMMISSION DISCUSSION OF 2/4/2004: Rick McArthur was present on behalf of the application. Mr. McArthur explained that he is buying one half of the business and replacing one of the other stockholders. To the commission's questioning, Mr. McArthur reviewed that he has been the bar manager for the last five years and is familiar with the rules and regulations of the Alcohol Beverage Code. Officer Latour stated he has no problem with this application. There being no further discussion, Mr. McKinnon moved that THE APPLICATION OF PLAYER'S GRANDSTAND, INC. (PLAYER'S SPORTS BAR), 4024 GRAND AVENUE, FOR TRANSFER OF STOCK OFF THE ON SALE INTOXICATING LIQUOR AND SUNDAY LICENSE TO THE SAME FOR THE PERIOD ENDING AUGUST 31, 2004, FROM WILLIAM ROULEAU, 50 PERCENT OWNER, AND PAUL RIESLAND, 50 PERCENT OWNER, TO PAUL REISLAND, 50 PERCENT STOCKHOLDER, AND RICK MCARTHUR, 50 PERCENT STOCKHOLDER, BE APPROVED, AND THE SAME BE RECOMMENDED TO THE CITY COUNCIL FOR APPROVAL. Mr. Carlson seconded the motion, and it was unanimously approved.
