RESOLUTION APPROVING THE TEMPORARY EXPANSION OF THE ON SALE INTOXICATING LIQUOR LICENSE OF GRANDMA'S, INC. (GRANDMA'S SALOON & GRILL), 522 LAKE AVENUE SOUTH.

BY COUNCILOR STEWART:

BE IT RESOLVED, that the city council of the city of Duluth hereby approves the temporary expansion of the designated serving area of the following on sale intoxicating liquor license, subject to departmental approvals, with any specific restrictions:
Grandma's, Inc. (Grandma's Saloon & Grill), 522 Lake Avenue South, for June 19, 2004, with the serving and dancing ceasing at 1:00 a.m.


Alcohol, gambling and tobacco commission discussion of 3/2/2004: Tony Boen was present on behalf of the application. Mr. Boen reviewed that they will be erecting a 30x60 enclosed tent up in their parking lot where food and beverages will be served on Saturday night of the marathon. He continued to say that there will be off duty police officers working the event along with their own security, and that the music and the serving will cease by 1:00 a.m. Officer Latour stated that there is no problem with thee application. There being no further discussion, Mr. Nquist moved that THE APPLICATION OF GRANDMA'S, INC. (GRANDMA'S SALOON & GRILL), 522 LAKE AVENUE SOUTH, FOR TEMPORARY EXPANSION OF THE LICENSED PREMISES OF THEIR ON SALE INTOXICATING LIQUOR LICENSE FOR JUNE 19, 2004, BE APPROVED, AND THE SAME BE RECOMMENDED TO THE CITY COUNCIL FOR APPROVAL. Mr. Carlson seconded the motion, and it was unanimously approved.
