BY COUNCILOR STEWART:

BE IT RESOLVED, that the city council of the city of Duluth hereby approves issuance of the following temporary on sale intoxicating liquor license by the liquor control commissioner, subject to departmental approvals and any specific restrictions:
Marshall School, 1215 Rice Lake Road, for May 7, 2004, with Marlene David, manager.

Alcohol, gambling and tobacco commission discussion of 3/2/2004: Kim Holland was present on behalf of the application. Ms. Holland reviewed that this was their annual dinner/auction fundraiser that is held with all proceeds going back to the school. To questioning from the board, Ms. Holland replied that the event starts at 6:00 p.m. until midnight, and this event is for adults only so there has not been a problem with checking ID's. Officer Latour stated that there have been no problems in the past with this event. There being no further discussion, Mr. Johnson moved THAT THE APPLICATION OF MARSHALL SCHOOL, 1215 RICE LAKE ROAD FOR A TEMPORARY ON SALE INTOXICATING LIQUOR LICENSE FOR MAY 7, 2004, WITH MARLENE DAVID, MANAGER, BE APPROVED, AND THE SAME BE RECOMMENDED TO THE CITY COUNCIL FOR APPROVAL. Mr. Carlson seconded the motion and it was unanimously approved.
