RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH DODADAY PURSUANT TO WHICH DODADAY AGREES TO DONATE TO DULUTH A LICENSE FOR THE FRAUD TRACKS SOFTWARE PROGRAM.

BY COUNCILOR LITTLE:

RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement substantially in the form of that on file in the office of the city clerk as Public Document No. _______with Dodaday pursuant to which Dodaday agrees to donate to the city a license for the Fraud Tracks software program that assists city law enforcement in fraud prevention activities; said program to be hosted by Dodaday.

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  Dodaday has created a web-based software program, Fraud Tracks, that assists law enforcement in fraud prevention activities by creating a data base and an electronic means of circulating alerts to businesses and agencies who sign up to receive notices of alleged fraudulent activities. Dodaday wishes to donate a nonexclusive law enforcement substation license to Fraud Tracks to the city for a period of four years. Upon agreement of Microsoft, the city will sublicense the Microsoft software recently donated to the city to Dodaday and will provide Dodaday with three Central Processing Units (CPUs), to be returned to the city at the end of the license. Dodaday will host the Fraud Tracks Program.
