RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION IN THE FINANCIAL CRIMES TASK FORCE.

BY COUNCILOR LITTLE:

BE IT RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to execute and implement a contract, containing substantially the same terms as that contract on file with the city clerk as Public Document No. _____, with the Minnesota financial crimes task force, its participants, or the state of Minnesota in order to participate in the task force; any reimbursement received from the task force to be deposited in General Fund 0100, Police Department Agency 200.


STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  This resolution authorizes the city to join a state-wide program to identify and apprehend individuals who engage in identity theft, fraud and financial crimes, often in multiple jurisdictions. Efforts are coordinated among various enforcement agencies, and the city will receive some reimbursement for its participation.
