RESOLUTION ORDERING THE CONSTRUCTION OF A CONCRETE SIDEWALK ON THE WEST SIDE OF ALLENDALE AVENUE FROM WADENA STREET TO OSAKIS STREET IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE 2004 STREET IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM PURSUANT TO SECTION 61(b) OF THE HOME RULE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF DULUTH AT AN ESTIMATED INCREASE IN THE SIP ASSESSMENTS OF $1 PER FRONT FOOT.

BY COUNCILOR STOVER:

RESOLVED, that pursuant to Section 61(b) of the Home Rule Charter of the city of Duluth, the city council hereby orders the construction of a concrete sidewalk on the west side of Allendale Avenue from Wadena Street to Osakis Street, in conjunction with the 2004 Street Improvement Program, Woodland South 1, city of Duluth Project No. 0092TR, to city of Duluth standards of those streets, avenues and parkways set forth in Public Document No. ____ on file with the office of the city clerk; that the cost of said improvement is estimated to increase the 2004 SIP assessments by $1 per front foot and said costs be levied against all properties to be assessed with the 2004 Woodland South 1 SIP project area.


STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  This will provide for the construction of a concrete sidewalk located on the west side of Allendale Avenue from Wadena Street to Osakis Street in conjunction with the 2004 Street Improvement Program, Woodland South 1, city of Duluth Project No. 0092TR. The proposed sidewalk will provide access to the Woodland Community Club. Funding for the proposed sidewalk will be by assessment against all property owners assessed within the Woodland South 1 SIP project area. The estimated increase in SIP project assessments for the proposed sidewalk would be approximately $1 per front foot.
