RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT TO NORTHLAND CONSTRUCTORS OF DULUTH, LLC, FOR CONSTRUCTION OF DODGE STREET PUMP STATION AND STORAGE FACILITY IN THE AMOUNT OF $3,779,560.

BY COUNCILOR STOVER:

     RESOLVED, that Northland Constructors of Duluth, LLC, be and hereby is awarded a contract for construction of pump station and storage facility at Dodge Street and 52nd Avenue East in accordance with specifications on its low specification bid of $3,779,560, terms net 30, FOB job site, payable out of Sewer Construction Bond Fund 0531, Department/Agency 500, Object 5532.


STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution will authorize the construction of a pump station and storage facility at Dodge Street and 52nd Avenue East (see map) by Northland Constructors of Duluth, LLC for $3,779,560, to be paid from Sewer Construction Bond Fund 0531. Construction of the basin will eliminate sanitary sewer overflow at 52nd Avenue East and Dodge Street. Elimination of the overflows has been mandated by the M.P.C.A. Northland Constructors was the lowest of the five companies who responded. The estimated cost for this project is $6,177,073. Bid No. 04-0572; Job No. 0352SN
