RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION 04-0409 AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO APPLY FOR AND ACCEPT A TERRORISM PREVENTION PROGRAM GRANT FOR AN INTEROPERABLE RADIO COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM FROM THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY, HOMELAND SECURITY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT DIVISION, TO INCREASE THE AMOUNT OF THE GRANT BY $3,038 FOR A NEW TOTAL OF $308,523.

BY COUNCILOR LITTLE:

     RESOLVED, that Resolution 04-0409 authorizing the city to apply for and accept a terrorism prevention program grant from the Minnesota department of public safety, homeland security emergency management division, for an interoperable radio system be amended to increase the amount by $3,038 for a new total of $308,523; said monies to be deposited into Fund 0215.


STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  This resolution will authorize an amendment to Resolution 04-0409, passed on June 14, 2004, which authorized the application for and acceptance of a grant from the state for an interoperable radio communications system in the amount of $305,485. The state has increased the amount of the grant by $3,038 to cover an additional 800 mhz portable and channel repeater.
