RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT TO UNITED ELECTRIC COMPANY FOR QL INDUCTION LIGHTING SYSTEM IN THE AMOUNT OF $62,136.36.

BY COUNCILOR STEWART:

     RESOLVED, that United Electric Company be and hereby is awarded a contract for furnishing and delivering QL induction lighting system at depot parking ramp, coney island parking ramp, casino parking ramp and the Lakewalk walkways for the facilities division in accordance with specifications on its low specification bid of $62,136.36, terms net 30, FOB destination, payable out of Energy Management Fund 0257, Department/Agency 015, Organization 3000, Object 5241.


STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution will authorize the purchase of QL induction lighting system at Depot parking ramp, Coney Island parking ramp, Casino parking ramp and the lakewalk walkways from United Electric Company for $62,136.26 to be paid from Energy Management Fund 0257. The project consist of retrofitting existing outdoor lighting standards with energy efficient lighting system. The project is part of the energy conservation program. The average payback is 6.3 years. The total annual electric savings is approximately $9,950. United Electric Company was the lowest of the two above companies who responded. The estimated cost of this project was $62,468. Bid No. 04-0602
