BY COUNCILOR STOVER:
RESOLVED, that the city of Duluth does hereby accept a temporary construction easement substantially in the form of that on file in the office of the city clerk as Public Document No. __________ from White Pine Development, Inc., for the Cedar Ridge residential development at no cost to the city.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The purpose of this resolution is to accept a temporary construction easement for the Cedar Ridge development from the developer, White Pine Development, Inc., at no cost to the city.
The Cedar Ridge development is a 24 lot residential development proposed for the area west of the west end of Middle Road, west of Howard Gnesen Road and North of MacFarlane Road. White Pine and the city have agreed that the city will construct roads and utilities for the development; the developer will initially pay 20 percent of the cost and the remainder of the costs will be assessed against the benefitted lots.
The purpose of the temporary easement is to preserve the necessary access for construction while allowing the developer to begin to sell the lots prior to construction of the roads and utilities.
