RESOLUTION APPROVING DECLARATION OF RESTRICTIONS AND COVENANTS FOR REPLACEMENT WETLANDS FOR CEDAR RIDGE ESTATES DEVELOPMENT.

BY COUNCILOR STOVER:

     RESOLVED, that the city council of the city of Duluth does hereby approve the declaration of restrictions and covenants for replacement wetlands, on file in the office of the city clerk as Public Document No. __________, for the creation of replacement wetlands pertaining to the Cedar Ridge development.


STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  The purpose of this resolution is to approve the Declaration of restrictions and covenants for replacement wetlands pertaining to the Cedar Ridge development.


The Cedar Ridge development is a 24 lot residential development proposed for the area west of the west end of Middle Road, west of Howard Gnesen Road and North of MacFarlane Road. As part of the development, two acres of wetlands will have to be filled, which, in turn will have to be replaced. The developer will be doing so by creating additional wetlands on site.


The declaration approved by this resolution will insure that the wetlands thus created will be protected against future degradation or destruction. State regulations require the city to approve the declarations.
