BY COUNCILOR STEWART:
BE IT RESOLVED, that the city council of the city of Duluth hereby issues the following temporary on sale intoxicating liquor license, subject to departmental approvals with any further restrictions and further subject to approval of the liquor control commissioner:
Northland Country Club, 3901 East Superior Street, for August 17, 2005, with Gary Schneider, manager.
Alcohol, gambling and tobacco commission discussion of 7/6/2005: Gary Schneider was present on behalf of the application. Mr. Schneider reviewed that this application for the annual Builders Exchange event that is held at Northland in August. He continued saying that because of their club status, they need to open up their liquor sales to the public for this event as they do not have a list of everyone that will be playing that day. To the commission’s questioning, Mr. Schneider replied that will be hiring an off duty police officer to work at the event. There being no further discussion, Mr. Anderson moved that THE APPLICATION OF NORTHLAND COUNTRY CLUB, 3901 EAST SUPERIOR STREET, FOR A TEMPORARY ON SALE INTOXICATING LIQUOR LICENSE FOR AUGUST 17, 2005, WITH GARY SCHNEIDER, MANAGER, BE APPROVED AND THE SAME BE RECOMMENDED TO THE CITY COUNCIL FOR APPROVAL. Mr. Terry Johnson seconded the motion and it was unanimously approved.
