RESOLUTION APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF STOCK OF THE ON SALE INTOXICATING LIQUOR LICENSE, SUNDAY LICENSE, DANCING LICENSE, AND 2:00 A.M. BEVERAGE LICENSE OF LEMON’S REEF, INC. (REEF BAR), 2002 LONDON ROAD.

BY COUNCILOR STEWART:

     BE IT RESOLVED, that the city council of the city of Duluth hereby approves the transfer of stock of the following on sale intoxicating liquor license, on sale Sunday license, dancing license, and 2:00 a.m. beverage license for the period ending August 31, 2005, subject to departmental approvals:

           Lemon’s Reef, Inc. (Reef Bar), 2002 London Road, with Thomas Lemon, president and 26 percent stockholder, Mary Bjorklund, 25 percent stockholder, and Karen Lemon Landgren, secretary, treasurer and 49 percent stockholder, transferred from Michael C. Lemon, president and 26 percent stockholder, Mary Bjorklund, 25 percent stockholder, and Karen Lemon Landgren, secretary, treasurer and 49 percent stockholder.


Alcohol, gambling and tobacco commission discussion of 8/3/2005: Tom Lemon was present on behalf of the application. Mr. Lemon explained that he has taken the place of his brother in the corporation, and there are no other changes in the operation of the Reef Bar. Officer Latour stated he has approved this application. There being no further discussion, Mr. Karki moved that THE APPLICATION OF LEMON’S REEF, INC, (REEF BAR), 2002 LONDON ROAD, FOR TRANSFER OF STOCK OF THE ON SALE INTOXICATING LIQUOR LICENSE AND ON SALE SUNDAY LICENSE FOR THE PERIOD ENDING AUGUST 31, 2005, WITH THOMAS LEMON, PRESIDENT AND 26% STOCKHOLDER, MARY BJORKLUND, 25% STOCKHOLDER, AND KAREN LEMON LANDGREN, SECRETARY, TREASURER AND 49% STOCKHOLDER, BE APPROVED, AND THE SAME BE RECOMMENDED TO THE CITY COUNCIL FOR APPROVAL. Mr. Hanson seconded the motion and it was unanimously approved.
