BE IT RESOLVED, that the city council of the city of Duluth hereby issues the following temporary on sale intoxicating liquor license, subject to departmental approvals with any further restrictions and further subject to approval of the liquor control commissioner:
Northland Vietnam Veterans Association, Bayfront Park, for October 8, 2005, with Kathy Camps, manager.
Alcohol, gambling and tobacco commission discussion of 9/7/2005: Kathy Camps was present on behalf of the application. Ms. Camps explained that UMD is holding an alumni reception and bonfire at the family center at Bayfront Park before the homecoming football game and UMD security will be working the event. She continued saying that the event will be from 4-7 p.m. and they anticipate approximately 100-150 people attending. To questioning from the commission, Officer Latour stated he has no objections to this event. There being no further discussion, Mr. Karki moved that THE APPLICATION OF NORTHLAND VIETNAM VETERANS ASSOCIATION, BAYFRONT PARK FOR A TEMPORARY ON SALE INTOXICATING LIQUOR LICENSE, FOR OCTOBER 8, 2005, WITH KATHY CAMPS, MANAGER, BE APPROVED AND THE SAME BE RECOMMENDED TO THE CITY COUNCIL FOR APPROVAL. Mr. Arne Johnson seconded the motion and it was unanimously approved.
