RESOLUTION ABOLISHING FIVE OBSOLETE AND INACTIVE JOB CLASSIFICATIONS.

BY COUNCILOR JOHNSON:

     RESOLVED, that the abolishment of coordinator, handicapped access center, employee benefits administrator, environmental projects coordinator, park maintenanceperson II, and signal systems apprentice, which was approved by the civil service board on December 6, 2005, and which are filed with the city clerk as Public Document No. _______________, is approved.


STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  The five classifications recommended for abolishment are no longer relevant to city operations and will not be filled in the future. Removing them from the city’s job classification system is a routine housekeeping task.
