Alcohol, gambling and tobacco commission discussion of 2/1/2006: Bill Lannon was present on behalf of the application. He explained that they are holding a raffle in conjunction with their annual banquet and need to obtain a 60 day waiver as the banquet is April 27. To questioning from the commission, Mr. Lannon replied that the ticket price varies depending on the value of the prize which are donated by local businesses. He continued saying that the money from the prizes goes back into their organization. There being no further discussion, Mr. Johnson moved that THE 60 DAY WAIVER REQUEST FOR THE RAFFLE EXEMPTION OF THE RUFFED GROUSE SOCIETY BE APPROVED AND THE SAME BE RECOMMENDED TO THE CITY COUNCIL FOR APPROVAL. Mr. Serre seconded the motion and it was unanimously approved.
