Alcohol, gambling and tobacco commission discussion of 3/14/2006: Shelly Bakke was present on behalf of the application. Ms. Bakke explained that although their raffle drawing is in June, they would like to start selling tickets at the Home Show at the DECC and need the 60 day waiver to do so. To the commission’s questioning, she replied that they will be raffling a 2006 Kodiak ATV, a fishing package and a stay at a hotel, and they hope to sell about 750 tickets at $10 each. There being no further discussion, Mr. Anderson moved that THE 60 DAY WAIVER REQUEST FOR A RAFFLE EXEMPTION OF LINCOLN PARK BUSINESS ASSOCIATION BE APPROVED AND THE SAME BE RECOMMENDED TO THE CITY COUNCIL FOR APPROVAL. Mr. Hanson seconded the motion and it was unanimously approved.
