Alcohol gambling and tobacco commission discussion of 4/5/2006: The clerk noted that this is the annual renewal for on sale 3.2 percent malt liquor licenses and there are two licensees that have city sales tax issues. The clerk stated that the Tappa Keg Inn will have their delinquent sales taxes paid by April 30 and that the Duluth Huskies Baseball team have to file their returns for the months that they were not in operation. Officer Latour stated he has approved the renewal applications. There being no further discussion, Mr. Karki moved that THE RENEWAL APPLICATIONS OF THE ON SALE 3.2 PERCENT MALT LIQUOR LICENSE APPLICATIONS FOR THE PERIOD BEGINNING MAY 1, 2006, AND ENDING APRIL 30, 2007, BE APPROVED AND THE SAME BE RECOMMENDED TO THE CITY COUNCIL FOR APPROVAL. Mr. Hanson seconded the motion and it was unanimously approved.
