RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A MINNESOTA FINANCIAL CRIMES GRANT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $8,100 AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATE CITY OFFICIALS TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO ACCEPT SUCH GRANT.

BY COUNCILOR LITTLE:

     RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to accept a grant from the state of Minnesota, financial crimes task force, in an amount not to exceed $8,100, to support the investigation of identity theft and forgery; grant funds to be deposited in Fund 215, Agency 200, Organization 2262, Revenue Source 4220-02.

     FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to execute all documents necessary to accept such grant.


STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  This grant is part of the funds appropriated by the Minnesota legislature to support the Minnesota financial crimes task force. Funds are available to local departments to support investigations of identity theft and financial crimes. Funding will be used to provide for salaries and expenses related to investigation such as vehicle mileage expense and equipment needs. No matching funds are required.
