RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY OFFICIALS TO ACCEPT GRANT MONEY IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $1,095.74 FROM THE MIDWEST ECONOMIC CRIME FOUNDATION AND TO EXECUTE ANY DOCUMENTS REQUIRED TO BE EXECUTED TO ACCEPT SUCH GRANT MONEY.

BY COUNCILOR LITTLE:

     RESOLVED, that the proper city officers are authorized to accept grant money in an amount not to exceed $1,095.74 from the Midwest Economic Crime Foundation and to execute any documents required to be executed to accept such grant money; such funds to be deposited in Fund 215-200-2264-4805.


STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  The Midwest Economic Crime Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides funds to law enforcement agencies to support the investigation of financial crimes, fraud, forgery, identity theft and organized economic crime activity. The city intends to use the funds for training, investigation costs, equipment purchases and officer overtime. The city is required to submit individual requests, but has been approved to receive a total amount of $1,095.74. This money must be applied for prior to June 1, 2008. There are no matching funds required.
