BY COUNCILOR LITTLE:
RESOLVED, that the original purchase order to Advantage Systems Group for installation of the new additional closed circuit television (CCTV) system equipment at the City Center West police station and emergency operations center (EOC) be increased by $9,248.46 ($8,684 plus sales tax of $564.46), for a new total of $25,138.95 ($23,604.65 plus sales tax of $1,534.30), terms net 30, FOB job site, payable as follows:
(a) $13,575.03 from Duluth Police Grant Programs Fund 0215, Department/Agency 200, Organization 2272, Object 5580;
(b) $11,563.92 from Capital Improvements fund 0450, Department/Agency 030, Object 5520;
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution increases the original purchase order to Advantage Systems Group for installation of new additional closed circuit television (CCTV) system equipment at the City Center West police station by $9,248.46, for a new total of $25,138.95, payable from the Duluth Police Grant Programs Fund 0215 and Capital Improvements Fund 0450.
The original purchase order issued on May 31, 2006, for $15,890.49 ($14,920.65 bid + $969.84 sales tax) did not require city council approval.
The required changes include:
1. The provision of sound recording in the interview, intoxilizer, and emergency operations center areas; and
2. An increase in the number and control capabilities of video cameras (addition of pan/tilt/zoom capability).
Advantage Systems Group, located in Superior, Wisconsin, was the lowest of three bids opened on May 30, 2006.
