BY COUNCILOR JOHNSON:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to accept the donation of an easement for utility purposes located southeast of Haines Road and Morris Thomas Road, a copy of which is on file in the office of the city clerk as Public Document No. _____________, from D. Joseph Properties, Inc., at no cost to the city.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the acceptance of the donation of utility easement over property located southeast of Haines Road and Morris Thomas Road in order to facilitate the subdivision of a parcel of property into three parcels and the development of the two resulting new parcels.
The affected property is presently one parcel having a developed use on it but there is sufficient property to allow it to be divided into three parcels, thereby allowing further development on it. However, in order to make this possible, an easement for underground utilities must be created so that public utilities can be developed to serve all three parcels.
The dedication of this easement will create that utility corridor and allow this development to occur.
