BY COUNCILOR KRAUSE:
BE IT RESOLVED, that the city council of the city of Duluth hereby approves the transfer of stock of the following on sale intoxicating liquor license and on sale Sunday license for the period ending August 31, 2007, subject to departmental approvals and the payment of sales and property taxes:
J&J Miller, Inc. (Copasetic Lounge), 322 East Central Entrance, with Gerald Miller, president and 300 Shares, Joel Miller, secretary and 300 shares, and Charles Flaig, treasurer and 300 shares.
Alcohol, gambling and tobacco commission discussion of 8/1/2007: Jerry Miller and Charles Flaig were present on behalf of the application. Mr. Miller explained that the corporation has taken on a new investor and the City Code required a transfer application. To questioning by the commission, Officer Vang stated that the new stockholder has been approved. To further questioning from the commission, Mr. Miller replied that they hope to be open for business within a week. There being no further discussion, Mr. Karki moved that THE APPLICATION OF J&J MILLER, INC., (COPASETIC LOUNGE), 322 EAST CENTRAL ENTRANCE, FOR TRANSFER OF STOCK OF THE ON SALE INTOXICATING LIQUOR FOR THE PERIOD ENDING AUGUST 31, 2007, WITH GERALD MILLER, PRESIDENT AND 300 SHARES, JOEL MILLER, SECRETARY AND 300 SHARES, AND CHARLES FLAIG, TREASURER AND 300 SHARES, BE APPROVED AND THE SAME BE RECOMMENDED TO THE CITY COUNCIL FOR APPROVAL. Mr. Serre seconded the motion and it was unanimously approved.
