BY COUNCILOR LITTLE:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officers are authorized to enter into a memorandum of understanding with St. Louis County providing for the temporary relocation of emergency communications equipment at a cost to the city not to exceed $5200; said agreement to be substantially in the form of Public Document No. _________________ on file in the office of the city clerk; to be paid from Fund 100, Agency 200, Organization 1610, Source 5401.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: It is the desire of the city of Duluth to have the police department radio equipment, which includes voted receivers, microwave and antennas that support the radio communications for the city of Duluth police department, city of Duluth fire department, along with the St. Louis County sheriff and St. Louis County fire/EMS, that is currently located on the water tower in Bayview Heights to be removed for a period of time to allow work to be done on the water tower with minimal interruption in communications. This agreement provides for city participation in the cost of the removal and reinstallation and temporary location rental costs.
