RESOLUTION DENYING A REZONING PETITION TO PROVIDE FOR THE RECLASSIFICATION W-1, WATERFRONT DISTRICT, TO R-1-C, ONE- AND TWO-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT, FOUR LOTS IN BLOCK 39, HUNTER & MARKELLS GRASSY POINT ADDITION (LEHR/MUNGER).

BY COUNCILOR STAUBER:

     BE IT RESOLVED, that the petition by Lehr/Munger in Planning Commission File Number 07149 to rezone the subject property located in Block 39 of Hunter & Markells Grassy Point Addition, is denied based on the following findings [to be determined by the city council]:

 

 

 


STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  This resolution is a counter action to Ordinance 08-003 and denies the petition for a zoning change from W-1, Waterfront District, to R-1-C, One- and Two-Family Residential District. The subject property is four lots in Block 39 of Hunter & Markells Grassy Point Addition.


The Duluth city planning commission voted unanimously to APPROVE this zoning change following a public hearing held December 11, 2007.
