RESOLUTION AMENDING CONTRACT 19868 FOR PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES WITH CAMP, DRESSER AND McKEE, INC., FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A LONG TERM PLAN FOR EVALUATION AND ELIMINATION OF OVERFLOWS IN THE CITY’S SANITARY SEWER COLLECTION SYSTEM IN THE ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF $218,640, FOR A NEW TOTAL OF $586,013.

CITY PROPOSAL:

     RESOLVED, that Resolution 05-0046 awarding a contract to Camp, Dresser and McKee, Inc., (CDM) for engineering services for the development of a long term plan for the evaluation and elimination of sanitary sewer overflows in the city’s sanitary sewer collection system be hereby amended to increase the contract amount for Phase III flow monitoring, modeling and analysis work for basins 15 through 22 and the Polk Street lift station in the amount of $218,640, for a new total of $586,013. The increase will be payable from the Sewer Bond Fund 0531, Agency 500, Object 5532, City Project No. 0511SN.

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  Resolution 05-0046, passed on January 24, 2005, awarded a contract to Camp, Dresser and McKee, Inc., (CDM) for the development of a long term plan for evaluation and elimination of sanitary sewer overflows in the city’s wastewater collection system. This resolution will amend CDM’s contract (no. 19868) to include Phase III monitoring, modeling and analysis work in basins 15 through 22 and the Polk Street lift station. This work is needed in order to satisfy requirements of the city’s consent decree with the EPA. The additional cost in the amount of $218,640 to be paid from the Sewer Bond Fund 0531, Agency 0500, Object 5532, City Project No. 0511SN.
