PURCHASING AND LICENSING COMMITTEE
RESOLVED, that city officials are hereby authorized to contract with ERS Audits for professional services in auditing telecommunication services, billing and related documents for the city of Duluth management information systems division with said services to be provided at no cost to the city until the city receives refunds or credits, or realizes savings, and with said agreement to be substantially in the form of Public Document No. __________ on file in the office of the city clerk.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes a professional services agreement with ERS Audits for auditing telecommunication bills, including local phone service, wide-area network services, long-distance services, cellular phone services, Internet access services, and phone equipment-related charges for the management information systems division.
The city owes nothing to the consultant unless and until the city receives refunds, credits or savings with the consultant’s assistance. According to the agreement, the city would pay:
(a) 50 percent of any refunds or credits resulting from the consultant’s audit.
(b) 50 percent of the savings for a 12 month period resulting from rate reductions, fee reductions or eliminations, elimination of billing errors and from adoption of the consultant’s recommendations.
ERS Audits, a division of Split Rock Management, has an office in Duluth, Minnesota.
