RESOLVED, that the proper city officers are hereby authorized to enter into a lease agreement, substantially in the form of that on file in the office of the city clerk as Public document No. __________, with Fresh Air Fitness, LLP, for the leasing of the Endion Station building for the operation of a personal physical fitness training business, rents payable therefore being paid to the city’s general fund under Revenue Source 100-015-1515-4622.

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The purpose of this resolution is to authorize execution of a lease agreement with Fresh Air Fitness to operate a personal physical fitness training business. The business will also include a private training studio and nutrition club serving nutrition shakes, aloe and tea.
Under the lease, Fresh Air Fitness would have use of the entire building including the basement. The monthly rental is $1,500 per month for the first year. Upon written request, this lease can be extended for up to two additional years. If extended, the monthly rental amount shall be $1,560 per month for the second year and $1,625 per month for the third year.
Fresh Air Fitness was one of several parties expressing interest in Endion Station based on an RFP circulated in March 2008. They were the only entity to submit a written proposal for consideration.
