Bonfire Permit

INITIAL CONTACT:   Fire Marshal, 602 W. 2nd St., Duluth MN 55802.

FORM:   Application for Inspection and Permit.

FEE:  See Fee Schedule

TELEPHONE NUMBER:  (218) 730-4398.

ISSUED TO:  The person who is supervising the fire. This person must be on site at the time of the bonfire. Students will NOT be issued a permit.

PROCEDURE:  Applications are made at least 7 days in advance of the event to insure the site can be inspected. The site must be approved by the Fire Department before the event occurs. Timbers, logs, trees, building materials, furniture, leaves, and grass are included in materials not approved to burn. The Fire Department will arrange to have a fire fighter present during the event.
