ISSUED TO: The Miscellaneous Permit, issued by the Engineering Division of the Public Works and Utilities Department, covers a variety of activities. Many activities such as sidewalk repairs, demolition of buildings, curb cuts for driveway openings, scaffolding for building repair and maintenance, and maintaining dumpsters result in an obstruction of a street or sidewalk and thus require a Miscellaneous Permit.
PROCEDURE: Application with fees and other information required for a certain activity are filed with City Engineer. Also required are a surety bond in the sum of $10,000 and a general comprehensive liability insurance policy.
This permit can be issued the same day if bond and insurance requirements are met and all required information is supplied.
