Miscellaneous (Occupy) Permit
Occupying any portion of the public right-of-way may require a miscellaneous permit (sample permit). Many activities such as sidewalk repairs, rolloff boxes, driveway aprons (curb cuts), scaffolding for building repair and maintenance, blocking any portion of the right-of-way with construction vehicles, materials or any other activity that results in the obstruction of a portion or all of a street, alley, or sidewalk may necessitate a miscellaneous permit. See the Community Event Permits under the City Clerk's Office.
A surety bond in the sum of $10,000 and a general comprehensive liability insurance policy is required before a miscellaneous permit can be issued (insurance requirements document and street obstruction bond form). Permits may be issued on the day of application if all requirements are met.
Minimum fee: $40.00 The actual cost is variable depending upon the area involved plus any parking meters.
Driveway aprons: $70.00
